The Cumberland Presbyterian Church was formed February 4, 1810, by three Presbyterian ministers in Dickson County, Tennessee, as a result of the revival of the early 1800s.  The events surrounding this action and the subsequent history of this church can be found on the denominational Historical Foundation's site.  You are invited to read this exciting and passionate commitment by our early forefathers to spread the good news of Christ on the frontier.

A brief history of Nashville Presbytery from 1810 to the present is found on our denominational Historical Foundation's site.

Our work is distributed among the 9 boards and committees of the Presbytery.

Nashville Presbytery meets on the 4th Tuesdays of April and October of each year.  The  next meeting will be with the Brenthaven Church on October 23, 2007.

What we believe and how we are constituted is found in our Confession of Faith of 1984.  You can read a copy from the denominational site.
